The Long View Center, 118 S. Person St., downtown Raleigh

Keynote address by Jane Thompson, Planner and Urban Designer, Principal, Thompson Design Group

The Downtown Partnerships conference will provide practical learning experiences for designers, planners and developers to form partnerships that will promote high-quality and socially responsible revitalization of downtown areas. The conference features presentations by practicing professionals relating relevant experiences that participants can draw upon to use in their own professions.  Projects from large and small communities around the state, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, Beaufort and Salisbury will be presented. Introduction by City of Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker. Continuing education credits for architects, landscape architects and planners will be available (see below). Box lunch and refreshments provided.  (Please note: conference programs rotate among various sites within walking distance.  Bring warm outer layers and wear comfortable walking shoes.  Please contact Jean Marie Livaudais with any accessibility or transportation concerns at least one week before the conference.)
